Welcome to the world of software one we can not live with out.
Windows 7 is out and about and a nice brake from the mess that was put out with Vista. Many are still using EX and that is a safe place to be still.
Windows 8 will be coming along as the next new best and improved thing. If Windows XP is working for you just wait for windows8.
There will be no upgrade for windows 8 so it will require a clean install.
So why pay for 7 and then have to reinstall everything to change to 8 ? Just wait it out for windows 8 is all I can tell you.
You will like 8 and I love it. I love Seven and am enjoying that my PC works, unlike Vista. But my other has XP and I still enjoy the going home comfort when using it.
